After immersing the mine detonator in water, the sugar fuse dissolves and the mine goes into combat position. The sugar fuse dissolution time is from 10 minutes at a water temperature of +20°C to 40 minutes at a water temperature of about 0°C.
The mine is triggered by touching the crosspiece located at the top of the mine with a force of 0.6-0.9 kg. When the mine explodes, a hole is formed in the hull of the enemy vessel, and the water hammer disables the engine and transmission of the vehicle (breaks off the mounts).
The mine is installed on the bottom of the reservoir at a depth of 1 to 12 m manually from a floating craft (boat, floating conveyor, boat, barge). The floating part is located below the water surface by 0.1-0.7 m, and the anchor part is located on the bottom of the reservoir, keeping the floating part from being demolished.
Demining is prohibited.
