This is the newest Russian mine, modeled in 2015. It is a development of the MON-50.
The damage to a person is caused by a GZE. The power of the MOB is approximately the same as that of the MON-50, but due to the installation of additional blocks, it increases significantly.
The MOB mine is mounted on a tripod, stand or clamp with a sight and a laser target designator, on which several explosive blocks are mounted according to the modular principle. Up to three blocks can be mounted on one tripod. The mine uses EDP, EDP-R, MD-5M electric detonators. The explosion is carried out by the operator from the control panel when the enemy appears in the sector of destruction. The mine is usually installed in a controlled version and explodes from the EDP-R electric detonator or mechanically (with a MUV or MUV-2 detonator with an MD-5M fuse and a tension wire). The effectiveness of the mine depends very much on how accurately it is aimed. Therefore, in its upper part there is a place for installing a sight, the field of view of which shows the sapper the zone of destruction, and a laser target designator LTS
Color gray, green. Marking is applied on the front surface and contains: - MOB – name of the mine; - 85-01-19 – code of the manufacturer’s plant – batch number – year of manufacture (the numbers may be different); - OLA-8T – equipment code.
