MVP-62M

The MVP-62M is a fuse with minimal metal presence and an 85 mm thread for the TM-62, TM-72 and TM-80 series mines. The body is made of Bakelite. The fuse is cocked by removing the metal safety catch and then pressing the cocking button protruding from the outer surface. The fuse has a bellows system that slows down the movement in the detonator line for 300 seconds. The fuse is designed to be triggered when a force of approximately 120 kg is applied to the pressure plate. Although the fuse contains a minimal amount of metal, the presence of a striker, mainspring, larger side spring and detonator capsule allows this mine to be detected by most modern electromagnetic induction detectors. The safety catch of this fuse is slightly different from the MVCh-62 check with a round contour to hold the cocking button. Discarded safety checks can be a good indicator of the presence of anti-vehicle mines.

It is forbidden to unscrew the cap in MVCh-62 and MVP-62M! The detonator is fixed in the cap.

Bulgarian versions are usually marked "46 Dunarit" in a double circle, which is easily distinguishable. Russian versions made at Factory 583, or at Russian state-owned factories, are marked with two overlapping semicircles or circles, as shown in the image above.
