Designed to alert troops of the enemy's approach and briefly block manpower at the mine's detonation site; for operational mining of the area with a SSM mine, which provides non-lethal damage to enemy manpower and light and sound signaling of the enemy's appearance at the mine installation site.
The kits are developed based on the POM-2R anti-personnel mine, have the same installation rules with tension target sensors, and have spring-loaded legs to stabilize installation on the ground.
The mine can only be placed on the ground and only manually using a URP device, into which it is inserted before use. The possibility of placing mines by mechanized means is not provided.
The marking is applied with black paint on the mine body and contains: - СОМ or ССМ – mine code; - 383-РФ-04-17 – manufacturer’s code – country of manufacture – batch number, year of manufacture.
