The mine was adopted in 1951. As of 2016, it is not a standard mine of the French army, but it is being studied at the School of Engineering and there is reason to believe that some stocks of these mines are in army warehouses. Versions of this mine are produced under the designations AC ID 51/52 in France, STM 1 in Singapore, Nr 26 in Pakistan. Mine color: usually orange-brown.

Structurally, the mine is a complex disk-shaped figure made of reinforced TNT reinforced with fiberglass (not a fiberglass shell, but fiberglass embedded in the TNT mass). Inside the mine body there are two intermediate detonators, which are compressed TNT blocks, inside which are made sockets for the detonators. The central block has sockets for the main detonator and for the bottom additional detonator. In addition, in the lower part of the socket there is a compressed tetryl tablet, which serves as a detonation amplifier. The side block has a socket for an additional detonator. Plastic threaded sleeves are pressed into the sockets of the additional detonators from the outside, which are closed with plastic threaded plugs. In the upper plane of the mine body there is a hole through which the main detonator is inserted into the mine, which is closed with a threaded Bakelite plug. The mine body is arranged so that there is a cavity under its upper part, and the edges of the protruding upper part have a weakened cross-section. As a result, when pressing with a force of 225-350 kg. on the upper protruding part of the mine body, it breaks through and drops down, which leads to the detonation of the fuse. On the side of the mine body, a rope with a wooden tube mounted on it is inserted and fixed, which serves to carry the mine. On the side opposite to the handle, a shock-absorbing element in the form of a rubber bar is mounted in the side surface of the mine. This side of the mine is placed in the cap.
The mine's undetectability lies only in the fact that it has no metal parts and cannot be detected using an induction metal detector (mine detector). However, it is detected by a conventional probe, and in modern times by radio wave mine detectors of the Soviet RVM-2 type. The mine is destroyed at the detection site using a 200-gram charge of explosives, which is applied to the side of the mine. If the mine is not set to undetectability, it is quite possible to turn the mine over by unscrewing the plug and simply shaking the fuse out of it.
