The mine with the MVN-62 fuse is installed in the ground (snow) in such a way that the fuse is above ground level because it is very sensitive to low and high temperatures, humidity (power sources fail), and freshness of power sources. Installing a mine with this fuse is only manual.
The MVN-62 detonator has a very high sensitivity to changes in the magnetic field, it can cause a mine explosion when a person with metal objects (helmet, weapon, shoes with nail soles, etc.) approaches it or even as a result of the mine itself moving over the terrain closer than 200m from high-voltage power lines, operating radars and powerful radio stations. Any electromagnetic influences (magnetic field, radio radiation from a mine detector) cause the detonator to be triggered. Mine detection is usually carried out by visual observation. Persons searching for mines with the MVN-62 and transferring them to the transport position should not have any ferromagnetic objects with them: weapons, shovels, helmets, knives, probes, etc., and shoes with steel horseshoes and nails. Mines with the MVN-62 detonator are best trawled. Trawling such mines does not cause problems. The EMT trawl works reliably and detonates mines at a safe distance from the machine. It is forbidden to: 1. Bring ferromagnetic objects to a mine that has been put into combat position and remove them from it; 2. Search for mines that have been put into combat position with probes (even not steel ones); 3. Manually defuse mines installed with a masking of the detonator (the masking layer may contain ferromagnetic objects).
