The device is quite old (first appeared in 1942). It was not detected during the entire war period of 2014-2023.
Designed to disable enemy personnel. The defeat of a person (or several at the same time) is caused by fragments of an artillery shell when it is detonated at a height of 60-80 cm from the ground after being thrown by a powder expelling charge, which is triggered by an electric pulse from the control panel. The mine is an artillery ammunition connected to a universal expelling chamber UVK. The universal expelling chamber (UVK) is used to install anti-personnel fragmentation mines using artillery shells and mortar mines. Soviet and Russian fragmentation and high-explosive fragmentation shells of calibers 85, 100, 115, 122, 152 mm and mortar grenades (mines) are used. When using 152 mm shells, ejection from the ground is not ensured (the shell explodes in the ground). As a rule, such mines create a controlled anti-personnel minefield. When enemy soldiers fall into the zone of impact of one of the mines, the operator uses the control panel to activate the mine.
The basis of the mine is a universal ejection chamber UVK, onto the threaded sleeve of which an artillery shell is screwed. Ammunition and poisons are supplied by the manufacturer. The mine "OZM with UVK" is assembled at the installation site.
When an electric current pulse is applied to the wires, the electric igniter ignites and from it the propelling charge. The pyrotechnic retarder ignites from the propelling charge. Under the pressure of the powder gases, the UVK chamber body ruptures along the weld seam and its upper part, together with the detonating device and the projectile (mine), is thrown out of the ground. After the moderator burns out (0.3-0.45 seconds), a beam of fire from it causes an explosion of the detonator and the explosive charge of the projectile (mine). The explosion of the BP charge shatters the projectile body into fragments, which, scattering, defeat enemy manpower.
The mine is installed manually in the ground, and if installation in the ground is impossible, it is installed on the ground, while the mine is placed in a wooden box.
