This is the latest version of the Russian development, which is intended to replace the Soviet NVU-P.
Designed to register enemy manpower and control the detonation of one or a group of up to 4 anti-personnel mines. It is used with all anti-personnel mines used for NVU-P, but the POB mine is already standard. Provides sequential detonation of ammunition in an autonomous mode, as well as selective or group detonation using a remote control.
Components of the kit: - NVU-P2 device – 1 pc.; - PP-01 control panel – 1 pc.; - coil with a control line section of 100 m – 4 pcs.; - radio line cable – 1 pc.; - spike device – 24 pcs.; - lithium cell LT 26500 S10 (TL-5.5) 102,000,000TU – 2 pcs.; - activation simulator – 1 pc. (Necessary to determine the distance at which engineering ammunition will be activated directly on the ground); - trench tool. There is also the possibility of control via an encrypted radio line via the PD-440 device.
The interval between the detonation of the 1st and 2nd ammunition is 5 seconds (time for charging the combat capacitor). The device reacts to walking, running and crawling, groups of people up to 10 people. The device's response radius is up to 20 meters. The remote control becomes unusable in 3 cases: 1) After all 4 ammunition have been used up. 2) After the self-destruction time in autonomous mode has expired. 3) After the power source is discharged. In this case: the combat capacitor is discharged, the relay is triggered, the circuit is switched, the self-deactivation mechanism in the detonator is triggered (the electrical circuit burns out). The device does not work and remains operational: - when vehicles pass at distances of more than 30 m; - when helicopters fly at an altitude of more than 50 m; - under conditions of small arms fire; - during the explosion of a charge of explosive charge weighing up to 5 kg at distances of more than 20 m; - when tracked vehicles pass at distances of more than 50 m. The device provides: - multiple, using the remote control, transfer to a safe state and back; - multiple, using the remote control, switching to a combat state from an autonomous mode to a controlled mode and back; - alternately detonating (up to four) ammunition in an autonomous mode; - selective detonation and detonation of four ammunition in a volley in a controlled mode; - discrete setting by the remote control of the time of self-destruction of ammunition in an autonomous mode for a period of 7, 14 or 28 days; - control of the state and modes of the device; - light indication on the control panel: - about the state of the device - combat, safe; - about the device operating mode - autonomous, controlled; - about the receipt of a command to detonate ammunition in autonomous mode; - about the appearance of a target in the response zone in controlled mode; - about the integrity of the control line; - sound and light indication when a target appears in the response zone.
In offline mode, if the target does not appear within the range of the NVU-P2 within the set time (7, 14, 28 days), the ammunition self-detonates, and the remote control becomes unusable.
The maximum length of the control line (the operator's distance from the installed ammunition) is 400 meters (4 coils of 100 m each, with special plugs, with which the line can be extended). Thus, it is possible to install either 1 ammunition at 400 m, or 4 ammunition at a distance of 100 m from the operator. It has a built-in electronic timer that moves the device to a safe position every day for a set period of time (up to three times a day), which allows you to safely move through the minefield during these time intervals. This allows you to have passages in the minefield, install new mines instead of those that have been triggered. The PP-01 control panel includes a switch that allows you to install a non-contact explosive device in two modes: either in a controlled version or in an autonomous one. There is a “Request” button on the remote control, which allows you to obtain information about the state of the minefield (the light signals show which version the field is set to: controlled or autonomous, and also shows the number of connected ammunition that have not yet been triggered by alternating blinking of the lamps). The “Start” button allows you to detonate from 1 to 4 ammunition, or simultaneously detonate all 4 ammunition, if you set the switch to the “G” position. In the controlled mode, when a light signal appears (the “Target” light comes on), which is also accompanied by a sound signal, the operator detonates it by pressing the “Start” button and selecting the appropriate ammunition.
It has an additional circuit in the device that causes the explosion of all mines when an attempt is made to cut any electrical cable (mine or sensor) or to open the device cover. Thus, approaching the NVU-P2 by car and attempting to neutralize the device from the car is impractical, which was not ruled out for the NVU-P.
