The mine is triggered when an electric pulse is applied from the control panel to the electric igniter of the powder ejector charge. The striking ability of the fragments is equal to a mortar fragmentation mine of 160 mm caliber. or a 152.4 mm high-explosive fragmentation projectile.
The mine is installed manually in the ground or, if it is impossible to install it in the ground, on the ground. In this case, the mine is tied to a sufficiently strong object (a pillar, a tree, an anti-tank embankment, a rail dug into the ground, etc.). Excessive weight, a long time to install the mine, the need to dig a deep hole (up to 1.3 meters), the inability to use the mine in an unguided version greatly limits its use. Since the mine is completely sealed, and the explosive projectile is placed inside the barrel and does not contact the ground, it can be installed in both heavily waterlogged (swampy) and frozen soil. Before installing the mine, the cover is removed, the built-in electric cable 2.5 meters long is passed through the hole in the wall of the pallet and is brought out of the well in which the mine is installed. This cable is connected to an electric detonation circuit 100 meters long.
