The MVCh-62M is the most common fuse with minimal metal presence and an 85 mm thread for the TM-62, TM-72 and TM-80 series mines. The body is made of bakelite/plastic. The fuse contains a clockwork cocking mechanism. Removing the safety catch and pressing the green button initiates the cocking mechanism with a delay. The clockwork mechanism keeps the detonator from aligning with the striker. The fuse is designed to operate when a force of approximately 200 kg is applied to the pressure plate. Although the MVCh-62 was initially claimed to contain minimal metal, it is relatively easy to detect, despite the fact that parts of the clockwork mechanism are plastic. The safety catch is slightly different from that installed on the MVP. The prefix "U" on the above product indicates that this is a training version.
It is forbidden to unscrew the plug in the MVCh-62 and MVP-62M! The detonator is fixed in the plug.
