It is intended for mining various objects and setting mine traps that are triggered by the movement or tilt of the mining object. Basically, the mine is used to detonate unarmored objects (tanks, pipelines, electrical fittings, hydraulic fittings, locking devices, cars, airplanes, helicopters. It is quite effective to use the mine as a sabotage against small-capacity tanks (up to 10 m3), gas tanks of cars, transformer cabinets, electrical cables and communication cables, for terrorist acts, which is what the Russian Federation does.
Inclined Target Sensor (DTS)
When the mine is set to position "1" (Transport), the mine explodes after the set deceleration time (from 1 to 120 hours). When the mine is set to position "2" (Object), the remote cocking mechanism starts working. After the remote cocking time (15 minutes ± 2 minutes) the mine's combat circuits (non-extraction, non-disarmament circuits and the actuator) are connected to the power source and the mine explodes. When the mine is set to position "3" (Bug-trap mine), it is triggered when an attempt is made to move it or tilt it by 7°-19°. The mine is installed underwater in a sealed case. On ferromagnetic objects, the MZD-21 mine is installed with a magnet on the bracket
Mines from this section may be encountered either during the mining of territories left by the occupiers or in the equipment of DRGs.
